Fudgy Calcium Rich Treats

A few weeks ago I facilitated the menopause cooking and nutrition workshop. It was a wonderful day of learning and lots of cooking. Calcium is incredibly important for perimenopause and menopause. To be honest it is essential for all stages of your life so make sure you are eating plenty of food rich in calcium today. And what better way to do it than with a yummy sweet treat.

Raw Sniggers Bar

I have just finished facilitating the third day of the raw cuisine module of the vegan chef training. This also is a stand alone module so once people have finished the foundation course they are welcome to come and attend the raw cuisine course too and what a treat you will be in for. We have made sensational food over the last three days with another day to go. One of the extension recipes is so good and it definitely has been a while between drinks (or should I say between raw treats), that’s for sure. I wasn’t able to teach this module last year so I haven’t made this treat for 19 months and I can’t believe I had forgotten how deadly (that means ‘awesome’ in the NT where I grew up) it really is. It’s so good that I feel the world needs to have access to the recipe.

The Best Ever Sweet Treat

Each year I am fortunate enough to spend a few weeks in The Osho International Meditation Resort in Pune India. This last visit came a month earlier than usual and is a visit I will remember forever. With very few friends visiting at the time of my stay I was able to really immerse myself in the many revolutionary meditation techniques Osho has developed. My days were spent in the meditation auditorium, sitting around the pool drinking tea and reflecting on myself in that moment and walking around the gorgeous gardens. In past visits I have ‘made the most’ of my stay and gone to all the late evening meditations or participated in the wonderful celebrations that happen each night. However this recent visit saw me tucked up in bed by nine each night and up early for the 6 am dynamic meditation or 730 silent sitting so resting was a huge part of my stay.

Power Yoga Canberra and High Energy Love Ball Recipe

On a recent trip to Canberra my sister in law took me into Civic and I met up with one of my favourite people, Justine Lisson who co owns Power Yoga Canberra. We met at the newly opened Civic Power Yoga studio. My only regret was that I didn’t have enough time to join in with one of the many yoga classes on offer each day. The studio is a place I would gladly visit every day of the week if I lived and worked in Canberra.
