In all of the sprinkles below, I suggest food processing them but you can easily make them with a mortar and pestle if you would prefer a more traditional method.

Gomasio

1 cup sesame seeds

In a frying pan dry fry the sesame seeds until they brown slightly.  Let cool then process until they form a powder rather than seeds.  Store in an airtight container.

Pecan mince

1 cup pecans

1 tsp cumin seeds

1 tsp good quality olive oil

1 fresh hot chili

1 tsp tamari

In a food processor pulse the nuts a small amount then add everything else and pulse again.  Be careful not to turn into a paste.  Store in the fridge.

Macadamia and Pepita sprinkle

1/2 cup macadamias

1/4 cup pepitas

2 tsp ground coriander

1 tsp cumin seeds

1/2 tsp ground cayene (optional)

Grind everything in the food processor. Store in the fridge.

Sunflower and Hemp seeds

1 cup sunflower seeds either activated or slightly roasted in a frying pan

1/2 cup hemp seeds

Mix together and store in the fridge.  A great alternative to this is to also add 1/4 cup dulse flakes.
