I need your help!!! What music do you listen to in the kitchen?

Over the last five or so months my beloved partner Makrand has been playing the ukelele in the kitchen when I cook but he draws the line at accompanying me on retreats with to play as I cook for clients. I have now become accustomed to having music as I cook and I realise as I am working away on retreat after retreat I have very little music to listen to.

Sometimes the beauties who work with me put their music on and sometimes it works and at others it is a bit too frantic as I am trying to cook, so I am looking for music that will suit my style of cooking. Im putting a call out to you all, please can you help me by letting me know what music you listen to in the kitchen? What music do you like to put on when you are cooking?

Please leave your answers to this question in the comments below. Thanking you enormously in advance. I do have a CD called 'Sweet Surrender' by the wonderful Kunda Nettlebeck i usually put this on when I am making something light and upbeat- so in return for your advice of good music to listen to I will share with you this wonderfully light and upbeat recipe.

Thai Green Papaya Salad Veet Style

1 green medium green papaya peeled de seeded and grated

2 small roma tomatoes diced in small pieces

8 green beans sliced on an angle very finely

1 carrot peeled and grated

1 small capsicum cut into thin strips

1 clove of boiled garlic

1 to 2 hot chillies (optional)

Juice of two limes good slug of tamari

1 finely chopped spring onion 1/2 cup pecans or cashews

Mix all of the ingredients together and that is it - so light and easy and so refreshingly upbeat.
